Errors Upon Installing Additional Dialogic Card

Recommended Posts

We attempted to install an additional Dialogic card in a server that has been running 24 lines of VoiceGuide successfully for the last year or so to increase the number of lines to 48. Upon the installation of the additional card, VoiceGuide would not start up. We did not attempt to update the licensing or even try to launch any apps on the additional lines. The error happened simply after installing the card and firing up the server. Windows generated the following errors in the vgivrservice...

Faulting application vgivrservice.exe, version 7.0.3.0, stamp 4a044a0f, faulting module msvcr90.dll, version 9.0.21022.8, stamp 47313dce, debug? 0, fault address 0x000538cc.

Hanging application vgLineStatus.exe, version 7.0.0.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

I have emailed support@voiceguide.com with the logs as they are too big to include in this email. The install occurred between 9:00PM and 11:00PM so that is the only relevant portion of the logs.

Adam will be sending me a new 48 line license that will support 2 simultanious cards. I would like to know if this will solve the issue or if there is something else causing the errors.

Since this is a large company, a card install must be ordered and scheduled through the IT dept so when I reschedule the install, I need to have the fix in place. Otherwise IT will roll it back again.

Thank you,

What model cards was/is in the server and what model card was added to the server?

Do you have the cards connected together using the Dialogic CT bus cable?

Are both cards showing up as started in the Dialogic Configuration Manger (DCM)?

Are the T1 lines plugged into both the cards, and the status LEDs for the T1s are 'green' ?

Please post screenshots of the DCM showing both cards started, and screenshots showing the other DCM configurations settings - all the ones that you have changed from the default values.
