Vg 7.5 Demo Test

Dear Support,
Please kindly guide as to how to test the VG software after download.
I have downloaded the VG software and isntalled too.I have also installed the SJP softphone on another computer.
I tried to call the IP of the computer running the VG software from the other computer but I don't seem to hear anything and also how do I run, edit/save a sample script in the script editor.

Please kindly help with the basic steps for testing the demo VG software as I intend to try to present this to the team here.

 

Is it possible to have a step-by-step approach?

Dialogic HMP VoIP drivers will need to be installed on the system as well.

 

It's best to uninstall VoiceGuide for now and first test that the Dialogic HMP drivers are working, and then after confirming that they do work then install VoiceGuide (and make sure the select the 'VoIP' option at install time).

Once you have tested that the HMP's ipmediaserver demo works and answers incoming calls then you can install VoiceGuide (make sure the select the 'VoIP' option at install time).

Thaks for your mail.

I followed your instructions on installing the Dialogic HMP 30 software and went to check if its working through C:\Program Files\Dialogic\HMP\demos\IPMediaServer\Release\IPMediaServer.exe and it showed this below;

The SJPhone when I dialed the other computer showed this : Operational[ call timer 0:08] (out :PCMU)

 

 

I then tried to install the VG 7.5 selcting the VOIP option.Once this was installed,I noticed an icon(Voiceguide IVR running)and i then dialed the IP address of the host computer from another computer using the SJPhone.The SJPhone shows it dialing and shows it being picked up and the call timers starts to count as is its playing a PAY script but I don't hear anything.then I tried to do it again and this time,it just rings like its trying to connect.

 

And If then go to the Ip Media Server test,it then shows it as this;

Was the VoiceGuide service running when wen you tried to start the demo IpMediaServer app the second time?

 

Only one application at a time can use Dialogic HMP.

 

Please install WireShark and start capturing the SIP and RTP traffic using Wireshark.

 

Then please ensure the VoiceGuide service is stopped (right clink on VoiceGuide IVR ison the icon-tray area and select 'Stop') ans then try starting IpMediaServer again. Confirm that IpMediaServeris working as before.

 

Can you hear the message plyed by IpMediaServer when you dial in?

 

If you can hear the IpMediaServer message on the SJPhone then it should work with VoiceGuide as well...

 

Exit IpMediaServer and start VoiceGuide service again, and dial into it using SJPhone.

 

If you have any problems with not being able to hear the sound from VoiceGuide (and you can hear it when IpMediaServer answers call) then please save the WireShark trace (it should contain two calls) and .ZIP it up and post it here.
