Lineerr_operationfailed

When running a script I get a LINEERR_OPERATION FAILED in the IVR device status field for a Line Device. Hanging up clears the state to "waiting for a call" but does not answer incoming calls. Opening and closing voiceguide doesn't help either. I've only found an OS restart to fix the problem.

 

I'd like to know more about what's causing the problem so that I can avoid having to restart every so often.

What hardware are you using?

 

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened.

 

When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.

You can enable the automatic saving of the logs to files in \log\ directory as well.

 

When posting traces please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

The modem I'm using is a broadxent V.92 PCI DI-3631-1 voice modem.

I've attached the trace. The trace only appeared after I clicked on the hangup call button. When calling into the IVRS however no trace has been generated and the IVRS doesn't pickup the call.

To get the trace capturing startup (where the error LINEERR_OPERATION FAILED is most likely occurring) click the 'save to \log\' option in the trace log.

Then restart VG

 

But it is looking like the modem's drivers are returning an error when VoiceGuide tries to open the line. If that’s happening then the only advice we can give is to reinstall the drivers or see if newer version of drivers is available or try a different modem (or just get a Dialogic card...)

Sorry guys just found the culprit. Yahoo music. Whenever I try to listen to Yahoo music, I get the LineErr_OperationFailed Status. Sorry for the false alarm, my fault guys.
