Config Xml - Protocol Settings For Isdn

I would like to know what are the possible protocol settings for channels in the Config.XML file. And what protocol/case these settings should be used for?

 

Are there other settings for protocol besides using "ISDN" when used in a T1 ISDN environment? This is because there are many ISDN variants to choose from.

 

Does VoiceGuide work with a specific ISDN variant?

 

Do you have an ISDN variant you recommend to use over others?

The ISDN protocol is selected in the Dialogic Config Manager.

 

The protocol depends on what ISDN protocols the Telco can run on these lines.

 

What ISDN protocols can the Telco configure these lines to use?

Yes I have seen the ISDN protocol variant pulldown in the Dialogic Configuration Manager and would like to know if the Config.XML should be configured appropriately. Initial response to me was to change the contents of the protocol tag to "ISDN". But because of the variants available to me in the Dialogic Configuration Manager, it made me wonder if there are variants to set in the Config.XML's protocol tags as well.
