Config.xml For T1 Isdn Pri Ni2

Recommended Posts

I am having difficulty making VG work on a T1 ISDN-PRI NI2 connection. Would it be possible for you to send me a config.xml file for a T1 connection with 23 B channels and 1 D channel using the ISDN PRI protocol NI2 variant. Just to make sure I did not screw this up during installation of the VG for Dialogic patches.

Thanks

There is no special config - it usually just works once you select the corresponding protocol in Dialogic’s config.

What is the full protocol description of these lines from the Telco's side? Did they just say NI2 or did they give information about any other features which they enabled on the line?

Is NI2 the only protocol available from the Telco to you on these lines or can the Telco try another protocol or option combination on these lines?

The T1 line is connected to an NACT switch. We initially agreed on using 5ESS then later tried NI2. We have not tried other variants since I have already verified through ISDIAG that I can receive and make calls. But using VoiceGuide calls do not seem to be coming into the VG application.

Is there a particular ISDN variant that VoiceGuide works best?

The variant of ISDN does not really affect VG - it's all done at Dialogic driver's level.

VoiceGuide uses the "GlobalCall" drivers which are the current technology from Intel/Dialogic.

ISDIAG uses an older cc_ Dialogic API. Usually we don’t see a situation where a ISDIAG works while software using the GlobalCall layer does not... We will need to raise this with Intel/Dialogic to see what suggestions they may have.

Is GlobalCall a separate install from SR5.1.1 or SR6.0? Or is it an option which I should have checked on install of the Dialogic Software?

Global Call is an additional install with SR5.1.1, but installs automatically with SR6.0

Do I have to configure Global Call if I have installed SR6.0 NFS, and how do I do this.

Just now I received information from my Dialogic card vendor that the System Release I'm using SR6.0NFS (Not For Sale) --an evaluation version-- does not include GlobalCall. Can I use SR5.1.1 instead and how do I install and configure GlobalCall.

Global Call protocol pack is a separate download - see Intel WWW - you can follow links from our Recommended Hardware page.

Apart from ISDIAG there is another test tool from Intel: gc_basic_call_model.exe.

It is Global Call based like VG, but does not play a sound file when call is answered. It can still however be used to check if calls are accepted and answered by the system.

The test program can be found in C:\Program Files\Dialogic\SAMPLES\gc_demos

Use the attached .cfg file with it.

After starting it make a few test calls and please post the traces that this demo app produces.

I've installed SR5.1.1 with FP1 SU85 and GlobalCall 4.2

Here are the traces using the GC demo app as well as a VG trace using the setup above.

It seems that the GC demo app receives the call. While VG still does not respond.

My client has agreed to give you remote access to the system. We will let you access the system via Remote Desktop through the Internet. I hope this is ok with you instead of using PcAnywhere. We will still have to set it up though. Let me know where I can send information to access the system. I won't post it here.

We'd prefer PCAnywhere - it's quicker to work with then Remote Desktop...

Please send connection details to support@voiceguide.com

I have already sent remote access information for you to look into our system.

Thanks.

Did you solve the dialogic problem?. I 'm also in a similar problem with D/240JCT-T1 card. Call is accepting on ISDIAG and gc_demo, but a custom made application is not working. I 'm using DMS100 ISDN protocol.

Yes, the configuration issues were resolved and that system is now running.

Are you using SR6.0 on your system?

Which version of VoiceGuide are you using? Can you post some logs fro VoiceGuide showing VoiceGuide startup and the incoming call?
