Unable To Change Default Script To My Own Script (voiceguide 7 On Vist

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm using Voiceguide 7 on Windows Vista 32-bit. I have a Dialogic D4PCIUF card.

I made my own simple script with the Vg Script Designer and saved it in the Scripts folder.

Then I went to Config/Config.xml and tried changing the <Channel> entry in the Config.xml file to use my script. I changed it in all 4 channels.

But when I call in, it still plays the Credit Card payment module. How come it's not changing?

Thanks.

Did you restart VoiceGuide after changing the Config.xml file?

VoiceGuide needs to be restarted to read in the new Config.xml

How do I "restart Voiceguide"? Do I start and then stop the voiceguide IVR service?

Yes.

Ah, it seems to work now.

One more thing - I'm opening the line status monitor and I don't see anything displayed, and I tried to connect with the default settings (127.0.0.1:7130) but it gives me an error saying:

Connection could not be made. Check if VoiceGuide is running.

Please help me solve that. What is the line status monitor supposed to do?

It should just work. Not sure why it does not.

Maybe Vista has some strange permissions that need to be fixed up first before the application can open IP sockets for external communication?

We do not test on Vista yet as Dialogic has only now released drivers that can be used on Vista.

Do you have an option of switching to WinXP or Win2003?
