Clip And Clir

Recommended Posts

Hi,

1. How to detect CLIR on in ISDN PRI in script?

2. How to transfer call with CLIR (ISDN or SIP trunk)?

Can you please make two calls into the system - one with the CallerID presentation enabled (ie: not restricted) and one with the CallerID presentation disabled (ie: restricted).

Then please post the ktTel trace that captures both calls and advise exact time of calls and from what number they were made. This will allow us to see if CLIR

flags are passed to the system by the switch that provides the E1 ISDN service that you are using.

The trace extract labelled CLIR shows no CallerID information was received from system providing this E1 ISDN trunk.

In the trace labelled CLIP the Caller ID was sent.

Is your aim to stop CallerId information from being sent on the outgoing leg of the tromboned 'Dial and Conference' call?

Specifying <CallerId></CallerId> in the Transfer Call module's Options should result in an empty CallerId to be set on outgoing calls.

When I tested autodialer I found call to target (phonenumber in callque) has no number presentation.

Can You describe how is VG configured to call in autodialer module without presentation?

It help me to configure calls with CLIR on my system.

If you want to send CallerID on outgoing calls you can do this using the <CallerId> option.

The Telco that supplies the ISDNn trunk can chose to pass this on or not. You need to speak withe Telco supplying the ISDN trunks.

from http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/diallistinto.htm :

Including this setting: <CallerId>5551234</CallerId> would result in CallerId to be set to 5551234 on outgoing calls (lines used must support the setting of outgoing CallerID).

Problem is because I try to find how to configure VG to dialout with CLIR.

During testing VG autodialer I found that first call from VG (phonenumber variable in callque) has no caller number, so I need to use in transfer module.

I know what to configure transfer module to set caller ID.

But how to find dialer configuration for first call, before forwarding in dialout declared script.

Each outbound call made will use the <CallerId> setting if it is defined on the call.

It should not matter whether this is the first call or the second an later calls. They all should set the CallerID on outgoing calls if the <CallerId> setting is defined.

Perhaps you could post some traces (including the ISDN traces) to better show what the issue is?

This call has no CLIP in connection to Agent (declared as phonenumber in callque).

How to set up CLIP for call to Agent in dialer (callque) table to identify call initiated by Dialer.

Please .ZIP up and attach the vgEngine and ktTel traces that capture the entire call.

We need to see full traces to advise what is happening on the system.

Sounds like you require to be able to set the ISDN Presentation Indicator (PI) to "RESTRICTED" (01) on the outgoing calls over this E1 ISDN trunk.

Please contact sales@voiceguide.com regarding this requirement.

Would you like to send the equivalent of this information over the E1 ISDN trunk?

To determine how this information can be sent over your E1 ISDN connection would require for us to first obtain more information about protocol and options available on your E1 trunk.

Please contact sales@voiceguide.com regarding this requirement.
