Announced Transfer Acts Like Blind Transfer

Recommended Posts

a. call comes in to VG from Grandstream UCM6102

b. after caller listens to massage call moves to module Transfe_Call_17

c. Transfe_Call_17 uses PBX Announced Transfer with Phone 6401@192.168.0.240 \\6401 is a Grandstream ext

d. When use user Picks up ext 6401 no announcement is made and it is already connected to caller

It is treated as a blind transfer

Please try using the "Dial and Conference - Announced". Then the announce message should get played to call recipient asking for call acceptance.

The current transfer type selected in the script is a "Hookflash" type transfer. On SIP systems the equivalent of a "Hookflash Transfer" is a SIP REFER transfer and this is what is used right now to transfer the call.

Looks like in this case the REFER transfer process is not able to perform the REFER transfer is way that would allow playing of sound files to call recipient at beginning, and also letting recipient to indicate back to VoiceGuide whether they accept or decline the call - so just an immediate 'Blind'' transfer is performed instead of the 'Announced'.

This works but it uses 2 lines in VG

how would I do a blind transfer after the the recipient accepts the call by pressing 1?

We would need to look at WireShark traces of the current immediate 'Blind'' REFER transfer to see the details of the exchanged messages.

Please start the the trace before starting the VoiceGuide service, and then place a call into system that gets blind REFER transferred to 6401@192.168.0.240

192.168.0.240 is the IP address of the Grandstream UCM6102 device correct?

Please post this WireShark trace (.ZIP up first) and we can then see what is going on.
