Eicon Diva Server Cards

Recommended Posts

HI all

After more than 7 months in contact with the support of Eicon / Dialogic I can confirm that:

Eicon Diva Server cards do not work properly with the TAPI drivers, in the current version 8.5 some audio files are reproduced with noise and cuts and the previous version 8.0 has problems with the detection of false DTMF

The solution is not available with the upcoming version 9.2 and the next version may take a long time.

Unfortunately Eicon / Dialogic has not received sufficient notification of this problem by their customers to believe that it is an important thing, however all we use Voice Guide along with Diva Server we have this problem. Please Contact with Eicon/Dialogic support team to report this problem and get a solution among all.

I am currently using version 8.0 before passing a filter to DTMF audio files, not corrected to 100% but reduces false detections without damaging the quality of the audio. Please contact me whether someone can help me as if I can help someone.

Have you tried using the Eicon cards with the COMISDN driver instead of with the TAPI/Wave driver from Eicon? See: www.comisdn.com

Even I have not even tried, but if it could be a solution, involving a pity additional cost.

I currently use ComISDN's TSP/TAPI driver with the former Eicon ISDN hardware (mostly BRI, but have tested PRI cards too) and my systems work fine. I am currently evaluating their 'HMP/VoIP' SIP-CommsServer system and it works very well with v5 TAPI VoiceGuide.

8 channels of VoIP/SIP on average take less than 10% CPU on a lowly 2GHz single CPU system.

I would recommend their solution to anybody requiring low-cost HMP / ISDN TSP with TAPI VoiceGuide, unless you require complex call-transfer (as only blind-transfer is currently supported). Check out their website at http://www.comisdn.com
