V6 Outdial File Vs Outdial Database

I verified that Outgoing calls are working. From your forum i see a suggestion to use an outdial file when call needs to be done immediately when phone is loaded. From what i've read it's unclear how to use outdial file. It said that VG discovers the file automatically. I have created an xml file and placed it in /data/ directory but no calls have been made. What is missing?
Thank you for your help!

Are you using VoiceGuide v7 ?

Can you please post the outdial file that you are using and the vgEngine trace file that covers the time when the outdial file was placed in VoiceGuide's \data\ subdirectory.

<OutDialEntry>
  <PhoneNumber>2232342333</PhoneNumber>
  <PhoneNumberPrefix>9</PhoneNumberPrefix>
  <OnAnswerLive>C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceGuide\System\voice\installed\1.wav</OnAnswerLive>
  <AnswerTimeout>120</AnswerTimeout>
  <RetriesLeft>3</RetriesLeft>
  <RetriesDelay>5</RetriesDelay>
</OutDialEntry>

The name of the file /data/OutDial_1205New.xml. The phone number is changed.
I am using V6.

Thank you!

The trace files do not show the file being detected at all.

Was the file definitely saved in directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceGuide\data\

?

is that file still there?

Trace shows that the Dialogic dialed the number:

9,2489789145

do you dial a 9 on this PBX first to get the external line?

Hos did you verify before that the outgoing calls are working?

When I use manual loader i have this phone and a 9 on Rule screen then I am able to dial. But this is not consistent either.

If I use outdial xml , nothing triggers dial at all. I do see in the VG view window that it tries to dial.

I'd appreciate you look into the issue.

1205_0330_vgEngine.txt and 1205_1629_vgEngine.txt traces are showing 4 outgoing call attempts being made:

1205_0330_vgEngine.txt (3 hits):
    Line 2731: 152735.754   7   1   1       dial  making call LineState settings: tel[9,2489789145] live[... ACCallReminder\ApptTime.wav] ...

and the just posted 1205_1842_vgEngine.txt and 1205_1854_vgEngine.txt show 10 and 8 call attempts respectively.

I do see in the VG view window that it tries to dial.

Yes. The call attempts are being made.

One of he calls has a pause between 9 and the dialed number, but rest of calls do not.

If on the phone system a 9 is required to get an external line, then you should always specify a pause between the 9 and the dialed number - otherwise the rest of the number is dialed before the external line is opened by the PBX.

The other issue is that we are seeing these warnings on most of the calls:

ALERT Loop current not present. Working phone line not attached.

1205_1842_vgEngine.txt (10 hits)

have you tried plugging the line that is attached to port 1 of the Dialogic card into a normal analog telephone and dialing out using that analog telephone?

Are you able to place incoming calls over that line when using that normal analog telephone ?
