Give Information To The Caller

Recommended Posts

Hi VG team,

I want to give my callers 3 informations

1) Today there is a communication problem (info.wav)

2) The location is quenstreet (location.wav)

3) This problem will be till 4:00 AM tomorrow. (time.wav)

Whe the caller dialed into the ivr system I want the caller to hear this information.

How can I configure the "Play Sound file Module" box to gife these information?

Users can simply update these information because they are in a folder at my desktop

I tried to puth the path (in the Play Sound file Module box) with:

Sound file to play:

C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\info.wav, C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\location.wav, C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\time.wav

the users can update only the wav files

The problem is: The system cannot play the wav files.

Question: What have I did wrong?

If I do it so:

C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\info.wav, \location.wav, \time.wav

I am hearing the last wav file (time.wav) when I press the "Play" button.

thank you in advanced.

Diana

Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below:

[Log]

VoiceGuide=10

Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem.

Debug Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used.

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

Hi Support,

There was a problem to login into the computer with pcAnywhere.

Today I went to the location and I tried it again with 2 options:

1) C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\info.wav, C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\location.wav

2) C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\info.wav, Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Information\location.wav

When I tried it with option 2 it starts working.

I read the help information but is was not clear.

In the help infomation there was an example how to to that but it is not clear.

Maybe I am wrong but it is should not work with the example:

Voiceguide help

Multiple sound files can be selected to be played by separating the successive files by commas. eg:

prompts\1.wav, prompts\2.wav

would result in two files from the script's prompts subdirectory being played (1.wav and 2.wav) one after another.

Ok regards,

Diana
