Tts And Audio "freeze" During Calls

Recommended Posts

Hi,

It seems like there is a problem moving from tts to audio or vice versa. This doesnt happen all the time. Sometimes it goes through the tts and wav file without error. Manually clearing temporary files seems to make it work for the next few calls...

When I realized there was a problem, I updated the dialogic drivers to SR 171 and updated VG to 6.0.3363. I am still getting the errors.

The indication that there is a problem is that the script will hang at the first module (where the audio/tts is played) and never move tot he next module or disconnect. The dialogic RTF log is attached.

What do you think?

Thanks

Eric

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened.

Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below:

[Log]

VoiceGuide=10

ktTel=10

Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem.

Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used.

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

It turns out that the sound file was playing. The script is set up to play sound --> tts --> sound then wait for a DTMF response from the recipient. After going through the logs and testing different configs all afternoon, it turns out the problem was with our VOIP provider. One or more of their VOIP routes to PSTN was sporadically dropping calls effectively preventing the rest of the script from running and making it appear as if there was an audio/tts temporary file error.

VG is great. As always, thank you for your help.
