Voice Cracking

Recommended Posts

Hi Support team,

I'm using a .wav format for my voice prompt using 16bit PCM with 8000Hz and save it as .wav using A-Law encoding. The problem I'm facing now is there's few prompts which has been used repeatedly in other module such as "To repeat, press the * key" and "To return to the previous menu, press 8". Some module can play this 2 prompts smoothly without any distortion but some module play this 2 prompt with distortion.

What is the proper saving format in wav form and what causes this distortion where some modules can play it without any problem but some module did.

Please advise.

Thank you!

A-Law should be 8bit, not 16 bit.

Have you selected A-Law as the default format at install time?

Please.ZIP up and post your prompts and some of the prompts from the VoiceGuide's \system\voice\ subdirectory.
