Guest jusedawg Report post Posted 09/16/2004 02:21 AM Have you guys ACTUALLY tested a system that used 240 lines? Is this a software or hardware limitation? How many lines would you recommend starting with if we had 10,000 mailboxes? I am also assuming the pricing is different for buying a larger number of line licenses? Thanks, Chad Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/16/2004 04:40 AM The maximum number of lines per server is usually dependant on the type of application running. Applications in which most of the users are conferenced together for most of the time (dating lines etc.) can run more lines per server then systems which require intensive activity on each line (eg: pay-by-phone lines). If all lines are heavily used simultaneously then the practical limit of what the server could keep up with would be closer to about 60 lines. The number of lines depends on the max number of users you anticipate to dial into your system at any one time. Share this post Link to post
