I get the impression that my call progress tone definitions are being ignored, in favor of dialogic defaults. Is this the case? The Call Progress results are often wrong, for example showing CR_BUSY when this is definitely not the case.

I have massaged my call definitions using all of the recommended methods.

The attached log files reflect the default ConfigLine file in use. When I remove the ConfigLine file altogether, I get similar results as when it is there.

The tones used are the ones specified in ConfigLine.xml file.

Both the TID_BUSY1 and TID_BUSY2 tone definitions do not appear to have been modified and remain set to default values.

You should change the tone definitions to reflect the Busy/Ringback/Disconnect tones played by the Telco/PBX.

Traces so not show any calls so we cannot see what tones were detected during the call.

The attached logs reflect an outbound call successfully executed using my modified ConfigFile.

I see the tone definitions being read from the ConfigFile, but during the call progress analysis, I don't see any reference to tones defined in ConfigFile, such as 'TID_RNGBK1'. If I delete the ConfigFile altogether, and make the same call, while the ConfigFile is reported as not being found, the call progress analysis looks the same.

I get the impression that the call progress analysis is being done based on dialogic default tone definitions and not those provided in the ConfigFile.

What am I missing?

Tones are being set as per ConfigLine.xml.

In "tw" trace you can even see:

184452.140 setting call progress tones according to [F:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\ConfigLine.xml]

and we can see that the call was successfull as 16 seconds after the number was dialed the Dialogic card detected that call was answered by a live person:

Why do you say you are having problems?

I understand that the call is being answered properly. I am merely asking for yor kind consideration in helping me to understand.

The attached traces reflect a similar call as in my previous post, except in this case I have DELETED my ConfigFile:

Nevertheless, as was pointed out previously, the call is being proiperly answered:

My question is, in this case, from where is VG getting its tone definitions from?

If ConfigLine.xml is not supplied then Dialogic uses it's own default settings.
