bfrank Report post Posted 10/15/2009 02:07 PM Sometimes, the WAV file that is saved by the Record Sound File module is corrupted. I get "Windows Media Player cannot play the file" etc. I tried opening the file in Oxelon, which reports that the format is "unsupported". Do you have any ideas as to why this happens, and what I can do to prevent it? I attached a sample audio file.Distributor-Inquiry-20049620.wav Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/16/2009 01:29 AM (edited) Looks like currently if the recorded sound files are very short (the attached file is about 0.03 seconds (250 bytes) long) then the WAV header created by for them by VoiceGuide will not be read in in well by some sound file players. We have fixed this issue now and to apply the fix please download and install this new version of VG v7: [removed link. See new link in following post] Some sound file players can still play your current sound files (although there really isn't anything in them to play). Try using Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net Audacity opened nd played the supplied .WAV file OK. If you encounter problems please post the VoiceGuide traces (.ZIPed) as well.
