bailsson Report post Posted 11/18/2003 03:26 AM I have a newly installed VG 5.13305 on Windows XP Pro with Office XP, & Norton Internet Security & Antivirus 2003 Once a voicemail is received & vg tries to send an email I get the Outlook error message - popup "A program is trying to automatically send email on your behalf. Do you want to allow this? - If this is unexpected it may be a virus and you should choose no" Whilst it's intentions are good, it kinda defeats the purpose of getting an alert if I have to be there to tell it, it's ok to send an email. There doesn't seem to be a default setting that will remove the warning. Any suggestions? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/18/2003 03:54 AM Latest versions of Outlook do this after the Email Security update is installed. If you're the administrator in an Exchange Server environment, you can reduce the impact of the security prompts with administrative tools. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/admin.htm It's easier to just set up VoiceGuide to use the SMTP server directly instead... can you use that option? Share this post Link to post
