Guest dannygudovich Report post Posted 01/08/2004 09:23 AM Hi My IVR system is nearly complete, but I have a problem: It is working well (identifying the digits entered) from most of the phone(including cellular phones) , But when I'm dialing my IVR system from a specific phone model in my office the IVR system doesn't recognize all the digits entered by the user. I fear that this will happened in many more phone models. What do you think? Danny dannyg@compunet.co.il Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/08/2004 09:58 AM Some phones play the DTMF tones pretty poorly. When phones which do not play DTMF tones sufficiently well are used then it becomes hard for the Modem or Dialogic card to detect which key was pressed. A Dialogic card is able to better detect DTMF tones much better then a Voice Modem - and will work with most of the phones that give voice modems problems... There are some phones out there which even a Dialogic card has problems with, but in our experience not many phones fall into that category (well below 1%) You are more likely to experience problems when calls are made over poor quality mobile networks...
