harmanng Report post Posted 01/13/2004 05:43 AM I am testing the download evaluation with a Motorola VoiceSurfer 56K External modem. All the sample scripts runs fine. However after the hangup module finish and VoiceGuide return to waiting for another call, the line still occupied and release the line only after 30 seconds. Is this a modem issue or telco issue? Thanks Harman Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/13/2004 05:54 AM Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong. (When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.) If the modem does hangup the line (which it sounds like it does) then the inability to accept new calls on the line for next 30 seconds would be a telco issue... What happens when you just plug a normal telephone handset on that line - are subsequent calls still blocked for 30 seconds after end of previous call? The trace will show us if the modem drivers are reporting that the modem has hung up the line... Share this post Link to post
harmanng Report post Posted 01/13/2004 06:04 AM Hello, This is the trace log for the Internet Portal script. I tried to connect a phone to the line after the hangup and cannot make any dial until 30 seconds later - there is no dial tone and just like the line is still in use. SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/13/2004 02:20 PM Trace shows that the modem drivers have reported that the modem has hung up the call promptly: 135914.77 1 callstate IDLE 66426 0 0 tried to connect a phone to the line after the hangup and cannot make any dial until 30 seconds later - there is no dial tone and just like the line is still in use This is definitely a telco problem (albeit an unusual one...). I'd suggest contacting them about it... Share this post Link to post
Guest Carphone Report post Posted 02/23/2004 12:10 AM I am also testing the trial version and I have exactly the same problem. I have only tested the scripts calling from a mobile, maybe it will be better if i tested calling from another land line. I am using a zoom internal voice modem. UK, BT landline I will also post a log here later. regards Dan Share this post Link to post
