Guest Buzby Report post Posted 05/28/2013 03:56 PM Hi there, Just trying to run the evaluation version of VG out of the box - no changes to specification. HMP software installed and tested working using IP Media Server demo. Logs containing errors attached below. Would appreciate any assistance you are able to offer. 0528_1654_vgEngine.txt Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/28/2013 08:47 PM Looks like some required DLLs are missing from the system. Which version of Windows is being used? Which version of HMP is installed on the system? Could you please try using Dependency Walker ( http://www.dependencywalker.com/ ) on file C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\ktTelDialogicHMP30.dll to check which of the required DLLs are missing? Guest Buzby Report post Posted 05/28/2013 10:25 PM Thank you for your reply. The Dependency Walker shows the following files missing: mfc90.dllmsvcm90.dllmsvcp90.dllmsvcr90.dllieshims.dllwer.dll Error message is: "Error opening file. The system cannot find the file specified (2)." Machine is IBM X226 with Xeon processor running MS Windows 2003 Server. HMP is the latest version SU338. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/29/2013 02:26 AM Can you please tell us more about Win2003 installed. Is it original "Windows Server 2003", or "Windows Server 2003 R2" ? If "R2" then which Service Pack has been applied as well? Is it Standard, Enterprise, Web, or DataCenter? 32bit or 64bit? Is it up to date with all the updates, or is it original install only? Guest Buzby Report post Posted 05/30/2013 02:56 PM Hi there - server is Windows 2003 server Standard Edition, NOT R2. 32 bit. All updates applied. I had .Net V4 installed originally (from Windows Update) with all patches applied, but tried installing 3.5 SP1 from your website upon having problems to no avail. Share this post Link to post
Guest Buzby Report post Posted 05/31/2013 02:07 PM Hi again - any more thoughts on this? Would love to get this server running as we have been using VG 6 for many years and would love to upgrade to VG 7 and start using VOIP. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/31/2013 02:51 PM Would it be possible to quickly log into this system remotely to have a quick look at it? If this is possible then please forward login details to support@voiceguide.com Please include a link to this Support Forum thread in the email. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/01/2013 10:17 PM UPDATE: After reinstalling VoiceGuide, the VoiceGuide service now starts. The VoiceGuide install was 'Ran as Administrator'. Dependency Walker still reports that it cannot find some dependencies, but the number is now lower, with only these DLLs listed: MSVCR90.DLL IESHIMS.DLL WER.DLL (these files are usually not found properly by Dependency Walker) So looks like for some reason the MS Redistributable runtime DLLs (that are installed as part of VoiceGuide install) were not correctly installed on this machine. Possible cause could be that original VoiceGuide install was not done using an account with Administrator rights. Share this post Link to post
