Guest joneschik Report post Posted 12/30/2013 10:43 PM We have a 4-port VoiceGuide license and have two sites or locations. We want to be able to limit which ports the calls come in on, dependent upon area code or location. We want calls from one area code/State coming in only on ports 1 and 2 and calls from another area code/State coming in on ports 3 and 4. We have two different locations and want each location to have a local dialing number and want each site to have two dedicated ports, one main and one for rollover. Currently, when the numbers are dialed, they come in randomly on one of these 4 ports. I'm not sure how to do this. VMWare 5.1 virtualized Windows 2003 Standard server with VoiceGuide v.7.3 4-line licensed, using Dialogic HMP 3.0 virtual ports. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/31/2013 03:29 AM On VoIP systems the SIP 'ports'/'channels' are not physical ports - so it is not possible to route the call externally to a specific SIP 'port'/'channel'. Is the intention to run a different script depending on source or destination etc. of incoming call? VoiceGuide can route the call to specific script depending on CallerID or DNIS etc. An Evaluate Expression module can be used to perform this. Share this post Link to post
Guest joneschik Report post Posted 01/06/2014 09:35 PM Yes, the intent is to run a different script depending on source of incoming call. Would it be possible to post an example of an Evaluate Expression module which uses CallerID or DNIS? Share this post Link to post
