Voice Mail Issue

I am running your Voicemail Server.vgs script. I am getting the following error. Can you let me know what is happening. Thanks!

 

I am currently running the latest Voice Guide Version. I have two proline/2v cards. Four line Enterprise system.

 

My Dialogic Configuration Manager Software is 5.01

The Voicemail Server.vgs script is not set up to accept caller entering "*" - the caller is meant to press the voicemail box number for which they wish to leave the message and press the "#" (known as "pound" key or "hash" key).

 

If you want the script to react to "*" being pressed then just add an appropriate path to the "Welcome" module... The path should probably be:

 

on {*} goto [Voicemail Box Menu]

 

Also, did you edit the VG.INI file at all? If invalid script names are placed in the [Voicemail] section of VG.INI then VG will not be able to start voicemail either...

I have been using Voice Guide 4.9 for a long time. I just upgraded to 5.1.7. I believe I did an uninstall of 4.9 but I don't know if it was a complete uninstall.

 

I am running Win XP. Do I need to go back to Win2000 go to Dialogic software of 5.1.1

 

Here is the error that I get anytime I try to go to any voice mail application.

Have you tried entering the number of the mailbox for which you wish to leave the message? (As the voice prompt says...)

 

Please post the VG.INI file (found in VoiceGuide directory).

Same thing happens. I type in Voice Mail Box 0010 and the event log shows same error. See Below.

I completely un-installed the software and its directories. Completed a re-install of the software. It seems to be working correctly at this time.

OK. Glad to hear all is working fine now.

 

It does look like the old VG.INI was still on your system. The VG.INI for versions 5.x has more information in it. eg:
