ApexData Report post Posted 05/02/2014 12:33 PM Currently running VG on a Windows 7 PC using version 7.2.1. To perform a software update, can you just install version 7.4.4 on top of the existing 7.2.1 ? Are all settings and configuration files left untouched ? Does the same apply for the 7.4 Dialogic Drivers package ? Any specific procedures that need to take place before, during or after the update ? Thanks Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/02/2014 12:48 PM VoiceGuide v7.4 requires .NET 4.0, so this needs to be installed on your system first. Dialogic drivers should also be updated. Updating Dialogic drives involves full uninstallation of existing Dialogic drivers (do NOT backup/save any configurations at uninstall time) and then making a clean install of new version of Dialogic drivers. Then afterwards, to upgrade VoiceGuide: 1. Stop VoiceGuide Service and exit all VoiceGuide programs. (eg Script Designer, Voicemail Manager, etc) and all other programs. 2. Run new version VoiceGuide install and install into same directory as existing installation. (Do NOT uninstall the previous VoiceGuide installation). 3. Start VoiceGuide service. Running a VoiceGuide install over the top of an existing install will NOT overwrite existing configuration or license files (Config.xml, ConfigLine.xml, VG.INI, VmBoxList.xml, userinfo.lic) and will not remove any sound files, and will not remove any log files etc. Share this post Link to post
