SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/11/2004 01:34 AM From VoiceGuide Knowledge Base: Can I use VoiceGuide as a call recorder? Yes. You just need to connect VoiceGuide to the same telephone line on which the calls you want to record arrive. When an new call arrives VoiceGuide can play a tone on PC speakers alerting user of call, optionally play a short message to the caller for a few seconds, and then start recording. When the user picks up the phone attached to the same line on which the call arrived then both sides of conversation will get recorded. Whenever a new call arrives the phone should be left to ring until VoiceGuide has answered the call (and hence was able to start the recording script) and then the telephone handset can be picked up. Guest Pick up Report post Posted 02/27/2004 09:32 PM Can you automatically abort recording a message by picking up the handset on the line, as with an answering machine? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/27/2004 11:08 PM Can you automatically abort recording a message by picking up the handset on the line No. as with an answering machine? Stopping of recording when handset is lifted would only be possible if the answering machine is integrated into the phone... if you have an answering machine separate from the phone then you also need to stop the recording yourself... there is no way to tell if some other handset attached to the line has been picked up. you may want to read: http://voiceguide.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=220 Share this post Link to post
