$Rv_Lineid Versus $Rv_Portnumber

We have been using $RV_LINEID mistakenly thinking this was the same as line number (1-4) on a 4-line system.

What is the maximum range of the value of this field ?

On a 4-line system I have seen values of 5, 7, etc.

I want to be sure we are prepared to accept the maximum value without creating software issues.

On a 4 line system the $RV_LINEID would not be greater the 16

 

$RV_LINEID should continue to be the same for each port of system even after system or service restarts.
