Fax Tone Detected During Call

We have some problems with transfer call and we want to identify where is problem.

VG logs show:

Is this sure that on second leg fax answered?

Attached trace snippet does not show any calls disconnecting.

 

The snippet shows that Dialogic card detected a tone on the line that matched the 'FAX' tone definition.

 

The 'Fax Tone' evens occurred on the original leg of the call, not the outgoing leg:

It looks like no action was taken by the VoiceGuide script in response to this tone presence.

We know that target numbers are not FAX but VG log shows:

how to configure VG or DCM to ignore this kind fax signalisation.

 

Our telecomm outbound call provider doesn't see fax signalisation on our trunk.

Trace shows that currently the script used has the "On {FAX} ..." path set.

 

To ignore fax tone reports just remove that path from the script.

We use {FAX} path because VG terminating call because of receiving (maybe fake ) fax signalization so we make loop to keep call alive by loop to previous empty play module.

 

Without this path VG terminating call not founding this path.

VoiceGuide would terminate a call unless the script instructs it to do so, or it times out awaiting input, or it received a disconnect indication from other side.

 

If the "On {FAX} ..." path is not defined then that tone report will just be ignored. There will will be no other action taken.

Alternatively, if you want the FAX tones to not be detected by Dialogic card in first place, then do this:

 

1.

Change the TID_FAX1 and TID_FAX2 fax tone definitions (in ConfigLine.xml) to something that is unlikely to ever be detected,

 

2.

If a <ID>FAX</ID> tone is specified in ConfigLine.xml then remove that definition altogether.

Attached ConfigLine.xml still contains the <ID>FAX</ID> tone definition.

 

And trace shows that the script still contains the "On {FAX} ..." path.
