Voip Server With Fail-Safe Environment

Hello VoiceGuide,

 

one of our customers asked for things needed to build a fail-safe environment for their IVR server.

The main IVR server configuration is as shown below:

 

Windows 2010 (VM)

VoiceGuide (license for 12 lines)

Dialogic HMP Driver (license for 12 lines)

 

 

Is it correct if they want to build an exact same VM for fail safe, they need to buy additional (same) numbers of licenses for both VoiceGuide and Dialogic HMP?

The backup VM will be built on the same host.

VM licensing is treated in the same way as physical server licensing.

 

So second VM instance would need its own license.

 

Please note that the VM environment must be VmWare ESXi 5.x

Only ESXi 5.x is supported by HMP.
