Guest Geoff R Report post Posted 02/24/2004 02:13 PM I am new to this telefunny stuff, and it looks pretty exciting. I have just installed VoiceGuide and the wizard has identified 6 TAPI line devices in my system, where I didn't think I had any. Is this list simply identifying ports? e.g. here is what is listed: RAS PPPoE Line0000 RAS VPN Line 0 WAN Miniport (L2TP) LPT1T IPCONF LINE H322 Line Are any of these real devices I can use for testing the software, or simply ports for plugging in a device, when I get one? I think I'd like to get a Dialogic card eventually. Thanks for any help! Geoff PS> I had intended to buy a cheap voice modem for testing and configuring the system. What should I look for? SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/24/2004 09:14 PM Are any of these real devices I can use for testing the software, No. None of these TAPI devices can be used for answerig incoming phone calls. You will need to get a Voice modem or a Dialogic card. I had intended to buy a cheap voice modem for testing and configuring the system. What should I look for?
