okline Report post Posted 03/10/2004 02:54 AM Hi, Does D/120JCT-LS support DNIS(Dialed Number Identification Service? If it does support, where to configure it to make it effective? Thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/10/2004 03:07 AM The D/120JCT is an analog card, so DNIS will need to be supplied as Inband Signaling information set at beginning of call (which VG can read OK - see Help file section on Inband Signaling) or through some sort of CTI link from the PBX. What PBX are you using and can it do Inband signaling or does it have some sort of a CTI interface (like an SMDI interface or similar)? Share this post Link to post
okline Report post Posted 03/10/2004 03:30 AM The PBX we use is KX-TA30( made by panasonic). Is there any hope? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/10/2004 03:32 AM Can this PBX send Inband Signaling or does it have some sort of a CTI interface? (Maybe you should ask your PBX supplier...) Share this post Link to post
CSI Report post Posted 03/10/2004 04:33 PM I don't know if this will help you, but we have a good working solution for this. Our PBX reads the DNIS coming off of the T1 lines to determine which extension (or hunt group) to send the call to. If the call is detined for VG (analog ports off of our PBX), we have the PBX send what it calls a voicemail ID, which is basically a 4-digit DTMF at the start of the call. It only takes about half of a second to send the DTMF and is invisible to the caller. VG reads the tones as a number input, then routes the call accordingly. Share this post Link to post
