vatsal Report post Posted 03/19/2004 01:51 PM Can anybody help! We have migrated from British Telecom standard analogue lines with caller id etc to 6 ISDN lines through BT (with caller ID enabled) connected to an Elmeg ICT46 pbx, which in turn has 4 analogue lines (with caller id being passed on). Among other things I can not get the caller id to present on the dialogic modem. D/4PCI. I am using voicecall's IVG. Has anybody any idea on what settings I need change in order to get things working. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/19/2004 10:32 PM How does the Elmeg ICT46 PBX send Caller ID information? Most PBXs cannot send CallerID in same way that telephone companies send CallerID (Bellcore encoded FSK between 1st and 2nd RING). If it can send CallerID info like that then the Dialoigc card will pick it up automatically. Probably easiest approach is to see if you can configure it to send Caller ID as "Inband Signaling". Please read the VoiceGuide Help file section on Inband Signaling. ( http://voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/InbandSignaling.htm ) IVG is just a renamed older version VoiceGuide - but IVG does not support Inband Signaling - you will need to upgrade to VoiceGuide...
