Guest yavery Report post Posted 04/02/2004 01:03 PM Hi, using a standard residential analog phone setup, I'd like to know if it's possible from one of the inside phones to activate an ivr script. What I tought about was to have some sort of process/device monitoring the line and listening for a trigger key (let's say "#") and when that key is pressed from within the house, the process/device would issue/simulate a RING on the line so that VoiceGuide would wakeup as if an incominig call was arriving (as usual) ... Anyone know if this could be feasable? PS: my telephony device has not yet been purchased so if you know of one that does this (Brooktrout, Dialogic, Way2Call, etc), I'd go for that one probably since I have this particular need ... Thank you! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/02/2004 10:08 PM Sounds like what you basically want is to have some system listen out for a # key to be pressed during the call, and then act on that... right? You basically would need to have the call routed through VoiceGuide - with VG listening to the call after connecting both callers. One way to do this would be to use VG as an Auto Attendant and have it connect callers using the "Dial and Conference" function. Share this post Link to post
