Hi-phone Desktop Usb With Voiceguide

Recommended Posts

System: Windows 2000 SP 4

Modem: Way2Call Hi-Phone Desktop USB (TAPI and wave drivers installed and working)

This topic is similar to http://www.voiceguide.com/forums_archive/f2_t993.htm.

Although we are somewhat concerned with differentiating human from answering machine, we are more concerned with getting rid of the "This is an automated call" message.

We can make the program skip it by leaving the box empty but if we type "ignore" in the dialer field it plays the message anyway so I'm worried that this may be a bug instead of a feature and that we aren't using the program correctly.

What we are trying to accomplish is simply:

1. dial the phone number.

2. play the message without waiting for an answer.

With the Hi-phone device, the user still needs to say "hello," sometimes twice, before the script logic will start.

- Answering Machine detection is disabled.

- Silence detection is set to 0

- Silence detection wait time is set to 0.

Thank you for your help!

So you would like for VoiceGuide to immediately start playing the script (or main message) after dialing without waiting for called person to answer or explicitly accept the call?

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the two types of outgoing call that you describe (with and without "ignore") and then we can better see what is happening on your system.

(When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.)

Sorry we didn't get back to you with the trace log. The way2call device has been put aside for the moment and we are testing a D/41H dialogic card with much better results.

Thank you for the reply!
