Message Lamps

I have the evaluation package so message lamps should work, I have set all the lines so they can be used to make calls but nothing ever happens, I would imagine that you should be able to see some activity in the voiceguide screen or the trace.

 

Is there something that I am missing, I have entered the string required to turn on/off the lamps and I have left the field blank that indicates the lines to use so it should use any of the lines.

 

Will it use a line that is "waiting for a call"?

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong.

(When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.)

Its ok I worked out the issue, because I left the field "Which lines to use to make calls to turn lamp ON/OFF" blank it does not try to make a call at all, once I enter the Tapi device numbers on the lines it is fine :-

In the help file it is says "If the line selection text box is left blank then any of the currently available lines will be used.". Which to me means that of the lines used by VG would be used?

sounds like you have not updated the v5.2.1 install with the patch/bugfix which is available from http://www.voiceguide.com/vgDownload.htm

 

"any of the currently available lines will be used" means "lines controlled by VoiceGuide". You will need to install the patch/bugfix first.
