Raspy Audio

If a customer calls and Voice Guide answers and records their message, often (if the customer talks loudly or with voice inflections) the peaks in audio amplitude are very raspy and sometimes unintelligible.

 

Is there a cure for this within Voice Guide?

Are you using a voice modem or a Dialogic card?

 

many voice modem's sound recording is very poor.

It's a regular sound card (Soundblaster, I think). Almost all audio qulaity is just fine, both with pre-recoreded messages, our greetings, etc. For instance, your .wav files are perfectly clear and intelligible. Occasionally, though, customer's phone messages to us are so raspy that it is hard to make out what they're saying.
