Play Module Vs. Get Number Module

I understand we could use the 'Get Number' as well as the 'Play Module' to perform the simple task of playing a sound file, for the caller to enter an input to determine which path to route to.

 

If 'Text To Speak', input confirmation, etc. are not needed, such that either module can be used, may I know if module is more efficient? or are they the same?

Each module takes the same time to start playing the sound file. It does not matter which one you choose to use.
