On/off Hook Works But No Sound/ Dialing

I have setup my dialogic d/41esc card . All dialogic test pass in UDD. The TAPI is installed as per your instuctions and so are the wave drivers, but try as I may, I cannot get the board to dial or play any file out. I will not even detect touch tones, I have tries everything. What am I missing. I am evaluating your product .

I also forgot to mention that when I test it, I Never get any kind of error messase. The files all say the are playing and then they say DONE. , but I never hear anything.

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the call, this will allow us to see what is going wrong.

 

When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.

By the way. The line does go off hook , but after that nothing until it hangs up.

Remmember the UDD testeded all OK.

you can see from the script that the script is set to start at module [sayValueFromOrigScript].

 

That module is not set to play anything, and 10 seconds later after timing out awaiting user input the script hangs up.

 

...you probably need to have a better look your MakeCall.vgs script...

The script seems to have valid values.

I made some changes and tried to use the Dialer. this is the log print out

from the test:

As you can see it played the file, I simply got no dialling or audio. It did pick up the

line and hang up , but nothing else. what am I doing wrong ?. please help

The script seems to have valid values.

We can see from the trace that your script is set to start at module [sayValueFromOrigScript].

 

That module is not set to play anything, and 10 seconds later after timing out awaiting user input the script hangs up.

 

look at this line of the trace:

the line above shows that the module is not set to play anything...

 

Maybe you have incorrectly set [sayValueFromOrigScript] to be the starting module but you actually want your script to start at a different module?

(See menu Edit->Script Properties in the Script Designer.)

Well I made the changes but - depite the log. It never dials out. I use my extension to monitor the out going call sometimes. I Cal alway hear it go offhook but it never dils out, just dialtone after the click and then "the telco off hook message". It ignores them as well as the touch tones . Here is my new log. Still no sound or dialling out.

Also, You never gave me a reason, why it never picks up incoming calls.

Trace shows the Dialogic card is dialing out. If after it dials out you pick up the handset attached to the same line and you cannot hear the RINGOUT.WAV file being played then I'd say you have a faulty card.

 

Have you tried to test the card with Dialogic's own TALKER32 application? (as per VG Help file's Dialogic installation guide)

I did try it with talker32 and had the same results. I am inclined to agree about the card being bad. However this would be the second bad used ( suppoesedly A-OK) board I have gotten with the identical problem. I tried first with a d/41d . I did not hear any digits dialling and althought the wav files for the d/41d are MuLaw, The dialing out should still take place., Am I correct ? . Is my luck that bad ?. I hope not. I just assumed I was doing something wrong. Well what do you think,?Both boards, from different used suppliers are bad? Should I try a third board.

Can you try using the Dialogic's 'Voice Horoscope' sample application?

 

If that does not work then it's definately something wrong with the board.

 

An if it does work that still does not explain why the board does not dial out - dialing out does not use the Wave drivers...

I had a similar problem after trying to apply service update 53, though then i started to wonder if my application was not working even before that.

 

long story short, i uninstalled everything, and re-installed one piece at a time. (ie. system software 5.1.1, service pack 1, feature pack, globalcall protocols, and service update 53). what appears to have done it was re-installing the globalcall protocols.

 

i think it may have been due to an aborted installation when i did my first install of service update 53 (i mistakenly tried to install from setup.exe in a zipped folder).
