Guest jc123 Report post Posted 05/08/2004 09:59 AM Hi group, I am now evaluating VoiceGuide for my company IVRS. I am using a PC running Windows 2000 server, a Zoom voice modem for testing. It is a very user friendly application and I got the script working right away. My problem now is it seems that it can't detect all the entry by the incoming caller. Here is what happen: 1. Caller callin to the system 2. System pick up the call automatically and ask the caller to punch in the password + # to gain access 3. when the caller press (e.g: 1234#) from their phone, the system only pickup some entry (e.g: 234# or 134# or 124 .. etc). You can see it on the voiceguide appliaction. I am suspected it is because of the quality of the modem. But I checked the line is rather noice free and touchtone signal is somewhat distinguishable, it should be fine. Am I missing something on the configuration or some error handling in the script? Please help me on clear out this issue before I made my investment on a Dialogic card, Server and the Software. Thanks you very much in advance. San Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/09/2004 12:48 AM Some modems have problems detecting DTMF correctly. Such problems have been reported before. We have not encountered any such issues with proper telephony cards. Share this post Link to post
Guest jc123 Report post Posted 05/09/2004 03:45 AM Dear Admin, Thanks for the quick reply. I found out it works better when callin by a telephone and not that good if the callin is a mobile phone. Can you suggest some workaround on error handling or configuraton setting so I could increase the possibility to record the keyin? San Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/09/2004 04:00 AM Its a combination of line quality and modem's ability to detect DTMF. There is no workaround. Dialogic cards have very good performance detecting DTMF on calls from mobiles as well. Share this post Link to post
