Guest Data Expert Consultants Report post Posted 05/10/2004 10:18 PM We have two devices, a dialogic D/41H and a Way2Call Hiphone USB device. We understand that both use a TAPI interface but that the dialogic card is the only one that can accurately recognize an answering machine. Is it possible to get a comparison of features between these two devices? Especially the features as VoiceGuide sees them and how these relate to the TAPI interface. The boss has asked for this information several times which is why I'm asking. I have on several occasions dialed my cellphone with the dialogic card and had Voice Guide flash "human answered" when I let the voice mail pick up the line. Is this because the cell phone voice sounds the same as the answering service to the dialogic card or is the D/41H so old that it just can't tell the difference? I do not have access to the computer we are testing these features on at the moment. If you need me to post call logs I can do that tomorrow. Thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/10/2004 11:56 PM The Answering Machine detection is the major difference between the two. Not too sure if the Answering Machine Detection algorithm was improved between D/41H and later cards - you'd be best asking Intel/Dialogic about this directly. Share this post Link to post
