Guest Phillip Report post Posted 03/28/2003 01:11 AM I am trying to use call transfer using no PBX. Here are my system specs: OS: Windows 2000 Board: Dialogic D4/PCI Line Type: Centrex lines from Qwest Location: New Mexico (USA) 1. Can anyone recommend which type of transfer I should use? 2. I can’t seem to locate hook flash specs for Centrex, and suspect they need adjustment in Dialogic TSP config. My choices listed are: PBX Blind Transfer PBX Announced Transfer 3 Way Blind Call 3 Way Announced Call This system can do more than I could have hoped for! Thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/28/2003 02:24 AM You will need to set the hookflash properly for any transfers to work... and for this you will need to contact your phone company or else you will need to work it out trial and error... First try the Blind transfer and if that doesn't work then try the Announced Transfer - many phone companies won't support Blind transfer but most will work OK if using Announced... If Announced transfer does not work for you please describe exactly what the caller and the recipient of the transfer hear on the line at when the Announced transfer is attempted.. and we can then assist in explaining what may be going wrong and how to go about fixing it.. Can you currently perform blind (immediate) or announced (after recipient answers call) transfers when using your telephone handset attached to those lines? PS: Make sure you are using Dialogic's System Release 5.01 or later drivers... Share this post Link to post

Guest Phillip Report post Posted 03/28/2003 02:50 AM Here are my system specs: OS: Windows 2000 Board: Dialogic D4/PCI Line Type: Centrex lines from Qwest Location: New Mexico (USA) Other Stuff: dialogic 5.1.1 SP1 Here is what I have tried... I have a registered copy of IVG on our IVR server but not on the dev server which has the Centrex lines (moving the lines next week) I can’t seem to locate hook flash specs for Centrex, and suspect they need adjustment in Dialogic TSP config. I am able to do a manual transfer as follows: 1. Call into Centrex line using cell phone #1 2. Answer on Centrex line using analog phone 3. Press flash on Centrex phone and get a three-beep stutter tone 4. Dialed another number (cell phone #2 ). 5. Answered cell phone #2 6. Hung up on Centrex analog phone 7. Stayed connected from cell phone 1 and 2 This is what I am trying to achieve using IVG. My goal is to have IVG transfer a call and disconnect freeing up the line. The phone number to transfer is being pulled from a database, and according to the trace it seems to be working up until the transfer module. In the trace at the end of this post, the number being dialed should be 688-2445. My Questions 1. Can anyone recommend which type of transfer I should use? Should I try the PBX or 3 way version of blind / announce? 2. Does the demo version of IVG allow transfers do I need to hold off until I get the lines moved. 3. Should I be concerned with the last line of the line trace below? 31671 5 tapi Reply 66321 0 31671 5 tapie callstate CONFERENCED 0 0 31681 5 tapie linedevstate 2048 0 0 31691 5 tapie callstate DIALTONE 2 0 31691 5 RVreplace start: [$RV[Lookup_PC_8_1]] 31701 5 RVreplace end: [688-2445] 31701 5 lineDial(66252,688-2445) 31711 5 lineDial => 66235 31721 5 tapie linedevstate 2048 0 0 31721 5 tapie callstate ONHOLDPENDCONF 0 0 31731 5 tapi Reply 66235 LINEERR_INVALADDRESS [80000010] Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/29/2003 07:58 AM You should use the "Announced Transfer". From trace I can see you are using an old version of VoiceGuide - please download v4.8.45 and the hotfix and try the Announced Transfer with that version... Share this post Link to post
