SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/28/2004 07:48 AM VoiceGuide can do what you describe, but you would need an ISDN E1 connection. This kind of detection cannot be done properly with analog systems... Share this post Link to post
billywizz Report post Posted 06/03/2004 10:32 PM Thanks for the reply a t1 conection is a bit out of my price range at the moment is there a way to do it with a voice modem or a mobile phone? even if the phone connects hangs up then logs it as active. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/03/2004 11:06 PM is there a way to do it with a voice modem or a mobile phone? No. even if the phone connects hangs up then logs it as active. To reliably detect that the phone was answered you need a Dialogic card (4 port analog card is sufficient). Share this post Link to post
billywizz Report post Posted 06/21/2004 07:31 PM Hi ive finally got my d/41d working after a few weeks. Now I need to start on the project I bought it for. I need a predictive dialer to dial a cell phone number and detect the dtmf tone. And log the call that ring and a separate log for those calls that don’t. I don’t want the call to be answered because of the cost involved. What I need is to start to dial at say 07760456123 and end at 07760456199 and tell me which line has a ring tone. Hope you can help Share this post Link to post

SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/22/2004 09:43 PM You cannot set up VoiceGuide at this stage for it to stop dialing when it hears the 'dialing' or 'ringback' tone. VoiceGuide waits until the call is answered. From VG Help file: The result of all outgoing calls placed by VoiceGuide will be saved in VoiceGuide's \data\ directory, in one of the following files: OutDial_Contacted_Human.txt List of calls answered by a real person. OutDial_Contacted_AM.txt List of calls answered by an answering machine. OutDial_Contacted_Fax.txt List of calls answered by a fax machine person. OutDial_Uncontactable_NoAnswer.txt List of calls which were not answered and rung out awaiting answer. OutDial_Uncontactable_Busy.txt List of calls which were not answered as the busy tone was heard. OutDial_Uncontactable_OnDontDialList.txt List of calls which were not made as the telephone number is on a "Don't call list". OutDial_Uncontactable_NoDialer.txt List of calls which were not dialed as the VG Dialer option is not enabled. OutDial_SIT_Reorder.txt List of calls for which the Special Information Tone (Reorder) was played by the phone company. OutDial_SIT_NoCircuit.txt List of calls for which the Special Information Tone (No Circuit) was played by the phone company. OutDial_SIT_CustIrReg.txt List of calls for which the Special Information Tone (CustIrReg) was played by the phone company. OutDial_SIT_Unknown.txt List of calls for which an unknown Special Information Tone was played by the phone company. Share this post Link to post
billywizz Report post Posted 06/22/2004 10:08 PM Oh! can i use a dialogic card with fixed cellular terminals ?would i be able to do then? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/22/2004 10:31 PM can i use a dialogic card with fixed cellular terminals ? Yes. From http://www.voiceguide.com/suppRecomHardware.htm : "Instead of plugging analog telephone lines into the Dialogic card (or voice modem) you can just attach the Ericsson F250m Fixed Cellular Terminal device and receive & make calls over the GSM mobile network." would i be able to do then? You cannot set up VoiceGuide at this stage for it to stop dialing when it hears the 'dialing' or 'ringback' tone. VoiceGuide waits until the call is answered. Share this post Link to post
billywizz Report post Posted 06/22/2004 10:44 PM I wouldnt mind if i a cellular phone to dial because the cost would be small if the call was answered because it is per second billing where if i used a landline it would be approx 35 pence per answered call . Share this post Link to post
