twnichols Report post Posted 06/02/2004 10:15 PM I am having a issue with my VG IVR. In voice guide I give the caller the option to transfer to customer service. The blind transfer sends them to our customer service que. I am using a NEC pbx. When the transfers occur the music on hold picks up and then voice guide picks the call back up in about 10 seconds and starts over again. I believe the call is just being put on hold. Any help would greatly be appreciated. SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/03/2004 12:34 AM Looks like the call transfer is done OK by VoiceGuide and then VG starts waitng for another call: 170130.30 6 Waiting for a call... about 6 seconds later a new call arrives on the line: 170136.67 6 callstate OFFERING 65894 0 4 As far as VG is concerned it has finished with the last call, and this is a new call, so it treats it as a new call - answers it and starts the script etc. I'm pretty sure what is happening here is that the PBX is 'sending back' the call back to the extension from where the call was transferred (ie: back to VG) as the PBX has decided that the destination/que to which the call was transferred cannot answer the call. You should be looking into why the PBX is 'sending back' the call. Share this post Link to post
