Guest chri Report post Posted 06/18/2004 05:14 AM Hi I have VoiceGuide installed on a Windows2000 PC. Until recently it was working fine. However, a couple of days ago, the PC would not boot and I had to use Recovery Console to get back in. Now when I try to start Voice Guide I get an error message Run-time error '429'. ActiveX component can't create object. That's the entire error message. Once I click on "OK", nothing happens. I've had a look on other posts and have not been able to resolve this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/18/2004 06:19 AM Sounds like something went badly wrong with this machine... If something like this happened I'd just reformat then reinstall Windows and set up the machine again from scratch. Also run a thorough disk check on the hard disk. If this is a machine you want to operate 24x7 I'd be looking into getting a new hard disk as well... Share this post Link to post
