Dialogic Configuration Problems

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm uising Dialogic D4/PCIU on win xp sp1 system (and VG 5.2.2).

I have just installed 5.1.1 sp1 (and the pacth) drivers/software for dialogic.

I try to configure Dialogic for my PBX using PBXpert wizard.

I connect port 1 of dialogic on a line and port 2 on another line, I give the right parameters and I launch the automatic configuration and here is the problem:

I receive strange results...

In 95% of cases when line A try to call line B, PBXpert

made the number, detects "ringing", but doesn't connect to line B and the wizard fail.

In the other 5% the same problem exists when line B try to call line A (in this case the connection between line A and line B is ok).

At this time I've tried to using VG making call on differents Dialogic channels, to understand what can be the problem.

When I'm using channel 1, there are no problem, but when I'm using channels 2,3 or 4 in most cases the incoming call is not detected by VG.

At this time I don't understand if the problem is an incompatibility of dialogic with win xp, or if it's an "hardware problem" of dialogic card or a problem of PBX.

Unfortunatelly I have not the technical datasheet of the PBX.

I only know that the model is MATRA 6501 with conexant software.

Have you any suggest for me?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Maybe you have some loose wiring somewhere or may be there is a hardware problem with either the ports on the PBX you are using or with the ports on the Dialogic card itself...

I'd try to re-arrange the connections a few times to try and identify and isolate which of these are at fault...
