Vg Implementation

Can anybody pls tell me if i were to implement the 48 port dialogic card and relevant license from vg then is it so that i have to take 48 telephone lines or there is another solution where by i can have less lines and still take many incoming calls at the same time since the application i am trying to build will have customers on the call for quite some time so how do i handle simultaneous connections. so as from my questions it will be quite obvious that i am new to the telephoney industry so pls help me out here

Each call needs to have it's own telephone line (just like with any phone system).

 

If you want to handle 48 calls at the same time you should get two T1 lines. (Each T1 can carry 24 calls).

 

Then you should get either two Dialoigc D/240 cards (each D/240 can control a T1 line) or one D/480 card (which can control two T1 lines).
