jph2658 Report post Posted 06/28/2004 02:40 PM Our current configuration is: Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 Dialogic System Release 5.1.1 with Service Pack 1 Dialogic D/4PCI board VoiceGuide runs as a scheduled task on startup. Everything works great for a while, but then stops. The application works anywhere from 1-3 days at a time, then stops. The error we are receiving is WAVERR_BADFORMAT, so the script picks up and executes up until it tries to play the wave file. I see in the installation guide it says: Sometimes installing 3rd party Sound Recording software or other changes to wave driver configuration results in the Dialogic (or voice modem) wave drivers being re-mapped incorrectly We believe this is what is happening. A reboot will fix the problem temporarily, but then the problem will come back eventually and require another reboot. We have tried reinstallation of the entire system several times, following the installation instructions exactly, including OS reinstall. It's strange because everything works fine for such a long time, then it stops. Any ideas on what could be happening here? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/28/2004 10:59 PM Not too sure why the Dialogic wave drivers would give you problems like this after a few days operation... if you could provide traces of what was happening on the system before the errors occurred then maybe they'd show something. (We'd need the MMDDtw.txt traced from VG's \log\ subdirectory). Maybe updating to Win2000 SP4 would resolve it? Can you try scheduling an automated system reboot overnight (eg: at 3am) and see if this restarting allows you to run reliably throughout the day? Share this post Link to post
