3-way Problems

Here is my log, i am in GENERATE mode not AT. If I don't chose to put the call on hold before the transfer it will send the dtmf tones to dial, but if I do but the call on hold before the transfer then it will not send the dtmf tones. Also if I bypass that and put my dial string to be

 

! ,,,, 1234567 ,,,, !

 

then I still receive the same effect it will not send the dtmf tones.

I am currently in the trial phase of this program and if I can get it to do a 3-way confrence initiated by the computer I plan on buying this for all my offices until then I patiently await an answer.

Are you trying to do a transfer or a conference?

 

What PBX are you using and how do you usually perform transfers (or conferences) with this PBX manually?

 

Are you using a voice modem or a Dialogic card?

 

What does the original caller hear when the system attempts to do the 3 way conference?

 

Does the destination extension start ringing at all when you try to do the 3 way conference?

Trying to accomplish a 3-way confrence call.

 

no pbx. Single line system. Hoping to use it for dead end voicemails. Also for the occasional need to actually have the call transferred to someone.

 

Voice modem with TAPI 3.1.

 

The modem flashes and then nothing then flashes back. I have intercepted the line after a flashhook but no DTMF tones are sent

What does the caller hear at these times? Does the caller hear any on-hold music?

 

Does your phone company support 3-way conference calls? how do you invoke the 3-way conference call if you do it yourself using a telephone handset?

The caller hears the first flash and then silence and then 3 or 4 seconds later the second flash. I haven't set up on-hold music to be heard to just silence.

 

Yes, we have 3-way. When I do a 3-way manually once the first leg is connected whether I called out or I was called into then I hit the flash on my phone dial the other number and then flash back.

When doing 3 way conf calls manually do you 'flash back' at any time after dialing the other number or do you need to wait until the 3rd party answers the call?
