Guest Interested Guest Report post Posted 07/17/2004 09:05 PM Hello, thank you for such a robust and wonderful program. We would like to know if it is possible to use VoiceGuide to create an automated VTC System. Let me explain: We have the script already written so that when a caller rings our number, it will auto start our VTC system and play a video (the main auto attendant video). The video will instruct them to press various buttons, and such, to make their selections, just as in normal IVR. Of course, we understand that, when the user presses the button, the image will go away, and will need to be replaced with another image, but that is acceptable. But does your system work with anything like this? Thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/17/2004 10:09 PM By VTC do you mean some sort of a Video TeleConferencing system? You can quite easily set up a VoiceGuide script to run different external commands/functions from within a Run Program module or a Run VBScript module, or DDE module - so I imagine that there should be no issues in letting your customers control the VTC system over the phone, as long as the VTC system can be controlled by running 'command prompt' style commands or calling COM functions or sending DDE commands to it. If all that is needed is for a new image to be displayed on the screen after each different keypress, and you know how to display this image to display on the screen and it can be done by running some command/function/etc then it all should be quite easy to put together.
