Guest daveminker Report post Posted 07/18/2004 10:46 PM Using the standard, single-module "Voicemail Server" sample with a Dialogic VFX/40ESC, VG will: o answer the call and play the welcome greeting o detect the DTMF tones o transfer to the correct mailbox o play the mailbox greeting o beep to indicate the beginning of a message recording o and then promptly hang up on the caller without letting them leave a message. Debug output attached. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks - Dave Share this post Link to post

SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/19/2004 01:20 AM Looks like this card mistakes the beep that is played before the start of recording for a disconnect tone: 183252.44 6 [VmLmRec] Recording 183253.18 6 PlaySoundStart ok [C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\system\voice\beep1.wav] 183253.50 6 callstate DISCONNECTED 66238,0,0 183253.59 6 LsRecPlayBeep EV_REMOTEPARTY_DISCONNECT 183253.69 6 Hanging up call... I'd recommend changing the settings for the disconnect tone frequencies/cadence in the Dialogic's TSP config. Guest daveminker Report post Posted 07/19/2004 05:00 PM UPDATE: I've solved the problem where the board decides to hang up on the caller immediately after the recording beep. It wasn't a problem with the record "beep" being confused with a disconnect tone ... but the article you pointed me to on disconnect tone frequencies/cadence in the Dialogic's TSP config led me to what really was the problem ... loop current. I had a telephone line splitter on the incoming line and apparently it was drawing too much current away from the board and was fooling the board into thinking the caller had hung up. Once I reconfigured the telephone line arrangement I was able to get past the premature hang-up. Thanks -- Dave Share this post Link to post
