Guest Tony Report post Posted 08/17/2004 04:02 PM Hi All, I've been looking all over the place to see if I can find a machine/device that allows you to recognize the type of phone line you are calling, something like the predictive dialers used in call centers. The idea is that by the ring tone the machine could say it's a fax, dsl line, etc. If anyone has ideas about where I could get a device like this, brands, etc, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks Tony Share this post Link to post

Predictive dialers in call centers just use lists of known 'good' numbers, and run on digital ISDN lines, so they can immediately detect the phone handset has been picked up. You can implement such a predictive dialer with VG. Share this post Link to post
