Help is needed with the following:

Why doesn't the database open?

Is there a setting missing in the configuration?

If you want to connect via ODBC interface then you need to specify the Datasource name - not the filename.

 

With Access databases it is easiest to just specify the filename and leave the 'Connect String' blank.

Thank you for replying but I don't understand the nomenclature.

 

the data source name was set to "KRS IVG"

the database file is "krs.mdb" in "F:\KRS"

 

the database has 2 table one of which is called ""Subscribers"

 

What is a "data source name"?
